If Christmas is Hard: You Are Not Alone

It’s okay to feel lonely, anxious, or sad during the holidays. Here are some gentle ways to support yourself, and people to reach out to if you need help.

🌱 Gentle Activities

Comfort & Connection

  • Take a short walk outside. Nature helps lift your mood.

  • Listen to soothing music or a favourite movie/TV show.

  • Cook or bake something comforting, even if it’s small.

  • Write a letter or journal entry — to yourself or someone you care about.

Creative & Mindful

  • Colour, draw, or craft — focus on the process, not the result.

  • Start a gratitude or memory jar — one note at a time.

  • Try gentle stretching or breathing exercises to calm your mind.

Connect Safely

  • Send a short message to someone else who may be alone.

  • Join an online community or livestream — many are free and welcoming.

  • Volunteer remotely — small acts of kindness can lift your spirits.
